Frank Sinatra

I wasn’t a Sinatra fan, nor was I a detractor, now I’m a fan; but not because of Frank Sinatra.  I’m a fan because of this awesome tribute presented by Andre Rieu, at Radio City Music Hall.

The power of inspiration cannot be measured, but it can be felt.  Watch, and feel the reaction of the audience, and note when you become one of them.  It’s alright to join the standing ovation – I have a couple of times.

And what could make this tribute more complete than Frank himself singing My Way?  Nothing that I know of, so here it is.

  1. What a beautiful way to start this Saturday or any day for that matter. Thank you my dear.

  2. Just so beautiful … it should be a hymn for all of us who want to get anywhere… nobody will be ever be able to sing it like that…

Some may argue successfully that there were other singers with better tonal qualities, better pitch, but not by much. What made Sinatra so great was his ability to phrase a song better than anyone. No one comes even close.

  4. Fantastic – I have goosebumps. Thanks for sharing, Bert!
